Turkey Expansion in Indonesia's Market

JAKARTA: Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia has forged a partnership with Turkish Airlines to expand their market network in the Middle East and South-East Asia.

Under the agreement, signed in Bali, the two companies will jointly launch promotion to boost people traffic between Turkey and Indonesia, reports Detikcom. The agreement, signed by Garuda president Emirsyah Satar and Turkish Airlines president Candan Karlitekin, also covers co-operation in plane maintenance and overhaul.

As there are no direct flights between Indonesia and Turkey, passengers heading for Indonesia will use Turkish Airlines planes and switch to Garuda during the transit in Singapore.
