Singapore to trade Islamic sukuk to bolster the island shrinking economy

Amid the financial crisis in Singapore and the shrinking of the island economy, the government tried to rescue it by trading Islamic sukuk. This is the first Islamic sukuk issued by Singapore that dreams to be the center for Islamic financial system in the region, as reported by Republlika online.

Singapore will stand face to face against Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei that already found the strong Islamic banking and financial system in their respective countries.
